I want to straight my hair, I know a place out of town that do the Yuko system, however there is one in town that does Rusk Thermal STR8 Internal Restructuring System. Which one should I choose?

Thanks
Marcela

Honestly, from what I can tell, they are very comparable systems. Myself, I would call both, inquire about the prices, and see if they offer free consultations.   In the ideal world, both places should be willing to consult with you about the service. I would visit both, and then go with the most reasonably priced and reputable establishment.

The only think to consider is that with Yuko systems, I think you might have to have special training, and with Rusk you can buy it at professional salon supply houses without having special training -- a video and a brochure come standard. However, not to put you off of the Rusk, I know that there is training available for their system, too.

I suppose that I would ask about the stylist training at both establishments, and then take that into consideration. I would probably feel more comfortable paying a bit more for a service when my stylist had to travel to take a ten-day course than someone that learned how to do it at a salon class. Of course, neither of those training options really means that one is better than the other.   Ask people about town if they have heard good things about the places, and you'll probably get an earful from someone if they heard something good or bad.

So, things to consider are experience and training of the stylist, willingness to work with your needs, reputation of the salon, and price.

Do a little investigation and I know you'll make the right decision -- especially that even without explicit knowledge of the salons themselves, you at least know that they offer essentially the same exact service, so one isn't necessarily better than the other. And don't let them bully you into making snap decisions. Mull things over. Take your time.

Lemme know how it goes, and good luck!
