Pixiemartin.com Owner,
I do not make it a habit to send people e-mail "out of the blue" like this but found your page this morning and decided to make an exception. I assure you I am NOT trying to sell you anything or going to try to "meet you", I am simply think you could be a help to me via e-mail. Let me explain.
My name is Corey. I live in the Boston area (I lived in Iowa for many years so we have that in common) and, besides my day job in Biotechnology, I run a small (emphasis on small) independent film company called SQS Productions. SQS focuses on making film shorts as well as series pilots at this time since they are simpler. The main reason for SQS's existence is to support the process of bringing an idea from someone's head to being expressed on screen and communicated with a group of people.
I am currently working on a short script about a young woman who ends up in America but cannot speak the language well and is be-friended by Ameican woman who never shuts up. Together, these two get involved in a world of crime-solving and must determine how to communicate with one another to survive and along the way, learn some very important lessons about themselves.
In any case, as these stories are developed, the characters must be very complete 3-dimensional people and I often search the internet to explore particular characteristics of the characters to make them more real and complete. The American woman in this story is a very dynamic and open person and her appearance will match this. She wears bright colors with a retro look. One of the things I envision her wearing is bright tights. However, being a young male, I know nothing about tights so this morning I did a quick search for "tights" and ran into your page at http://www.pixiemartin.com/90400.htm and was drawn into your writing.
So why specifically I am writing you? I read a little bit of your site and find your writing style and communication to be superb! So I would love to use you as a consultant on the storyline and get you input on the American character. That would mainly consist of me describing what I see the motivations of the character to be and having you vet them and feedback to me how interesting and real you feel this is. If we wanted to go a step further, I would even consider modeling the American character on you. Modeling a character on a real person is a great technique to make a character believable and interesting. None of this would require you to share anything personal, but it would require you to be genuine in your replies.
So I have said enough for this first e-mail. If this sounds at all interesting to you, e-mail me back and ask any questions you would like. I am happy to share anything further if it means you might be willing to help with this.
Hope you are well. --Corey

Corey,
Sometimes I wish I kept up better with my correspondence.
When I first got this letter, I didn't know what to think about it.
I was a little flattered, though.
And more than a little freaked out.
But then as time passed, I forgot about it.
I wasn't trying to blow you off or anything, I just forgot, which is probably just as bad.
Hopefully, by now, you have found a different muse.
-- pixie
P.S. While I probably wouldn't make the best character model, I have been known to wear some interesting tights.
I wish I had occasion to wear them more.
Ho-hum.
