Hi Pixie,
I have a question regarding something you actually mentioned on
12/28/02 regarding hair straightening techniques (I happened to
stumble upon your posting while looking for Cione Salon's webpage
(New York). Anyway, you mentioned you had had a non-thermal
straightening treatment that had been extremely effective, and I
was curious to ask what it was, and where you went to get
it. I have wavy hair, but I've been told I can't use the
thermal treatments because I highlight/color my hair. If
you could get back to me I would really appreciate it.
Thanks so much!
Best,

Amber,
I had the Rusk Radical AntiCurl treatment done on my hair.
At first it was really ultra super straight, but after a couple of months it is still very straight when I blow it dry, and slightly wavy-ish when allowed to air dry. Overall, I am very pleased with the results. Before I had this done, I couldn't even get a blowdryer near my hair unless I wanted the dry hair to attack people in neighboring counties (you know, big ass fluffy hair).
I have also heard positive things about the Paul Brown Hair at Rest system, but from what I understand, it is more time consuming.
I recommend the Anticurl treatment very much though, and you can probably find someone in your area at www.rusk1.com.
