I started calling Cricket "Love Bug" when she was nothing more than a tiny evil kitten. It was sort of a joke -- she's named after an insect, and she hates people most of the time.
However, the choosing of the nickname seemed to be somewhat prophetic, as she now exhibits slightly different behaviour that fits within the confines of the definition of "Love Bug."
Cricket's new not-so-secret delight is to wake me up each morning sometime between 4 and 6am, patting my face, purring, and otherwise demanding affection.
Bugged by love at the crack of dawn - only slightly better than being mobbed by someone seeking tummy-rubbing every time you sit down on the potty.
