Yesterday at work, I slipped on the slick floor and fell to the ground so hard that it made me swear very loudly, and elicited a great deal of concern from everyone there.
Especially my mommy.
I managed to semi-catch myself by thrusting both of my arms back behind me and landing not only on the bony protrusion of my left butt-bone (and yes, I do know the technical term, but I am too lazy to use it), but also on both of my palms. My buttocks and arms functioned as shock absorbers, and I didn't manage to break anything, or whack my head on the tile floor.
I did, however, manage to give myself and exceptionally deep tissue bruise around my ischial tuberosity, which makes sitting unpleasant.
Half my ass aches.
And I believe that all of the pounding that my arms, shoulders and back received, in catching my fall, has made its presence felt today. I am in excruciating pain from the top on my head down to my fanny, and it about kills me to raise my arms above my waist, much less twist, turn, stretch, or do any of the other myriad things that a person does with those body bits.
I also think I'm coming down with something flu-ey, because I feel flu-ey.
I feel ucky.
And Dad thinks I need to fill out an accident report so that if something serious arises, we have documentation for workman's comp-related stuff.
What's in your head?
