I don't understand why right-to-lifers don't want stem cell research to be conducted using teensy, barely-human embryos, because they're little people with souls or something, but don't have a problem with fertility clinics and places that store frozen human embryos throwing out, every single business day, tens of thousands of unwanted and/or unused teensy, barely-human embryos as medical waste.
Couldn't we institute some sort of voluntary recycling initiative?
If you're storing some of your own embryos at a cryobank, and decided you've used as many as you need, why can't you just donate the extras to science?
Now fundamentalists will probably start decrying that as being terribly wrong.
"Those teensy little barely-humans that are little people with souls or something are in a state of suspended animation because their parents don't want them enough! They'd rather throw them away than give them life! Evil! Evil!"
What's in your head?
