Dad and I were both sitting on the couch, he reading the serious paper, and I reading the funnies.
The Practice was on in the background, neither of us really paying it any attention.
I noticed that Dad kept muttering and shaking his head in disbelief and/or disgust.
I thought it was something that he was reading about in the paper, until the guy playing an assistant district attorney on tv made some comment about how something or other wasn't exculpatory evidence, and that they wouldn't have to tell the other side about it.
That's when Dad burst out, "Bull shit! That is sooo exculpatory evidence!"
It must be hard to have to watch a television program distortedly sensationalizing one's chosen profession.
I would imagine that if there were a weekly, serialized drama about the complex and interesting lives of a group of people working in a hair salon, I too would find myself making a great deal of comments like, "That is sooo not how you wrap a spiral perm!" or, "What in the hell is he doing with that razor?"
