Okay, so I found out that if you want to have a particular studio emphasis to your art degree, thus making it a Bachelor's of Fine Art, you have to have a show. Ew.
I don't mind having a piece in a show, or going to a show, but an entire show dedicated to my questionable handiwork? Dude, I totally don't think so.
I've been to those things before, witnessed the spectacle of walking through the Art Building Bridge or Space Place and seeing someone else's blood and guts up for scrutiny. I've said things like, "Wow, that's a stinker!" or "They're actually getting a degree from this?"
I don't want some stranger saying crap like that about my work. Emily said, though, that my book was very popular at the Moveable Arts show it was in. People liked playing with a brightly-colored Jacob's Ladder of my facial features.
