When I went to get my mail the other day, I found a copy of W* tucked into my box.

Now, W is entirely the sort of magazine to which I prefer to subscribe. And in the past, while poring over the glossy, oversized pages of someone else's magazine, I'm sure that I have pondered subscribing to W. But, honestly, I don't recall ever having actually ordered myself a subscription to W.

The strangest thing is that the magazine had no address label on the cover, so I don't even know if it is really meant for me. The mailman could have found it in his bag without a label, got to my mailbox and said to himself, "Hey, this girl subscribes to all those pretentious, snotty, frou-frou decorating and lifestyle magazines. I'll bet she'd enjoy a pretentious, snotty, frou-frou fashion magazine, too."

Of course, I may have just ordered W on a whim one day, and have since forgotten about it, much like I did with Metropolitan Home.

We'll just have to see if it comes next month, too.

Yesterday & Tomorrow.

*W is a beautiful, glossy, over-sized magazine that has all the inner scoops on the fashion industry. Trends that filter down into lesser magazines like Vogue and Cosmopolitan, three to six months later, invariably have appeared in W's pages first.
