It's not that I don't appreciate the baseball-sized hail and severe weather that's tearing a swath of destruction across northeastern Iowa, but not being a resident of northeast Iowa, I would rather watch Friends and ER than THREE FREAKING HOURS of weather updates and storm damage footage. It's not even raining here. This has to be the most boring programming on television, short of the primaries or the State of the Union address.

[Okay, I'm updating my lack of interest. A calf on Polly Mill's farm - which was decimated - right outside of Dunkerton, IA has been critically injured and is trapped between the side of a shed and some heavy machinery. I'm sure it's going to die, and by the time you read this, it most likely will have. The poor little baby.]

I'm freely admitting, I have a little TV watching problem. I don't spend every second of my day glued to the set, as I'm hardly even home enough to watch TV, but I do have a block of primetime that I tape everyday and watch later. So, here's my guilty TV schedule, and don't hate me for it.

Sunday: Watch from 6-9, King of the Hill/Futurama/Simpsons/Malcolm in the Middle/X Files [all on FOX], TAPE La Femme Nikita on USA @ 9pm, watch The Practice on ABC @ 9. Watch LFN @ 10.

Monday: TAPE Martha Stewart Living @ 11am. TAPE Ally McBeal @ 8pm. Watch both later in evening after working out/going to class/doing errands/socializing.

Tuesday: TAPE MSL @ 11am. From 7-9, TAPE Buffy the Vampire Slayer/Angel. Watch all three after botany class.

Wednesday: TAPE MSL @ 11am. TAPE 90210 @ 7pm.* Watch both later after work.

Thursday: TAPE MSL @ 11am. TAPE Friends/Daddio on NBC @ 7. TAPE Charmed on WB @ 8. TAPE ER on NBC @ 9. Watch all 5 shows after class.

Friday: TAPE MSL @ 11am. TAPE Law & Order: SVU on NBC @ 9. Watch after work.

Saturday: Watch The Pretender/The Others from 7-9 on NBC. Watch Star Trek Voyager @ 9 on Fox. Play online.

So this makes me all believe that perhaps I desperately need other distractions in my life. Help me. Seriously. This is a cry for help. I spent almost $600 on a new TV and VCR so I could get the WB because my old, ancient TV/VCR set up couldn't get the channel. I also expanded my cable which doubled the monthly bill for the same reason. Think of all the money I could save if I only had something better to do with my time!

*NOTE: Due to the disappearance of 90210 and Party of Five from my viewing lineup, I am currently considering other programs to fill their space. Felicity is pretty funny, but I've missed almost two seasons except for bits and pieces here and there. And I'm sorry that I miss Roswell on the WB, it's decent, but runs opposite Ally. I need TV rehab. Egads.

Yesterday and Tomorrow.
