Yesterday, someone told me that today is "Martha's Day", and that I was supposed to call my mother and tell her how much I love her, and possibly send her cards and gifts, were I so inclined.
I called her and wished her much love, as told, but I can't help but feel creeped out.
How exactly did some random person that I've never talked to before know that my mother's name is Martha?
