There is a real
reason that I don't tend to wander around places like Target or
Wal-Mart unattended.
And why is that,
you ask?
Well, let me tell
you.
Tonight, I went
into Target with the sole intention of picking up some
lightbulbs, a large bag of lollipops, possibly some pudding cups
if they were on sale, and some pistachio nuts, if they were the
good kind and reasonably affordable.
An hour-and-a-half
later, having visited every corner of the store, I emerged with
the following:
- An 8-pack of
Long-Life 75w lightbulbs.
- Two Hunt's
Fat Free Big Cup Chocolate Pudding Snack Packs.
- A bag of
Sunkist Pistachio Nuts.
- A bag of Blow
Pops. (It's my turn to provide sugar for
our tinier clients at the salon.)
- A bag of Zip
A Dee Doo Charm Pops.
- A bag of
Tootsie Pops.
- A tin of
Almond Roca.
- A roll of
Duct Tape.
- A microwave
dish for cooking bacon.
- A DVD of the
movie Singles.
- A set of
flashlights. (We've had some brownouts lately,
and my Maglite disappeared mysteriously sometime last
year.)
- A
box of 'pop art' band-aids.
- A
box of antiseptic wipes.
- A
box of waterproof band-aids, for work.
- A
box of Mott's Natural Applesauce Cups.
and
- A
small heat-proof spatula.
I would
have gotten clothing or shoes, but I couldn't find any I liked,
and I already have enough assemble-it-yourself furniture in my
house, so I didn't need any of that.
Yesterday & Tomorrow.
